An Hypocaloric Diet is never the solution !!!
Burn Fat Fast Article:
An hypocaloric diet is never the solution !!!
Here is the scientifical reason:
First of all, It is necessary to understand the mechanism of the adipocytes:The adipocytes are cells present in adipose tissues, specialized in the storage of the fat. The adipocytes are thus our reserves of energy. It store lipids until a cellular volume criticizes located between 70 and 120 mm. Beyond this maximum size, the adipocyte, which cannot more stored fat, starts the formation of a new cell of storage, the pre-adipocyte.
The reserves of lipids are constituted the triglycerides. These triglycerides are synthesized inside the adipocyte but the “endocyte” or the diffusion of these triglycerides through the cytoplasmic membrane is not facilitated. The adipocyte thus goes secreted in blood a lipase to cleave the triglycerides in fatty acid and glycerol which are easily assimilable by the adipocyte. The opposite mechanism is carried out at the time of the excretion of the lipidic reserves by the intermediary of the lecithin enzyme.
Usually, the number of adipocytes increases until the age of 15 and this multiplication (hyperphasy) is particularly important during the first year of the life. It is thus important to take care of the food of the children until adolescence to avoid preparing a ground favorable to obesity to the adulthood.
Contrary to a largely widespread idea, if this hypertrophy is not sufficient and that the fat contribution is too important to be stored into our few twenty billion adipocytes, those will divide and to multiply, it is the hyperplastic phase which can multiply by 10 the number of adipocytes (200 billion!).To lose weight, one can empty the adipocytes of their lipidic overload (lipolysis using lecithin) but one can never reduce the number of it (except with liposuccion). For this reason it very easily takes again the weight lost after the stop of a hypocaloric diet.
Obesity can thus be of type:
- hypertrophic: enlargement of the adipocytes
- hyperplastic: multiplication of the number of adipocytes
- mixed: enlargement and multiplication of the adipocytes
Type of adipocytes:
There are two types of adipose tissue: white adipose tissue (WAT) and brown adipose tissue (BAT), that are also known as white fat and brown fat respectively. Consequently, these two tissues are made up of two types of adipocytes.
- White adipocytes contain a large lipid droplet surrounded by a ring of cytoplam. The nucleus is flattened and located on the periphery. The fat stored is in a semi-liquid state, and is composed primarily of triglucerides and cholesterol ester. White adipocytes secrete resistin, adiponectin and leptin.
- Brown adipocytes are polygonal in shape. Unlike white adipocytes, these cells have considerable cytoplasm with lipid droplets scattered throughout. The nucleus is round, and, although eccentrically located, it is not in the periphery of the cell. The brown color comes from the large quantity of mitochondria. Brown fat is also known as “baby fat” and is used to generate heat.
Summary:
A diet will decrease the volume of lipids (triglycerides) located in the adypocyte cells. By stopping the diet the metabolism will store again the fat in these cells and still faster if the number of adypocyte cells is too huge. All diets are almost hypocaloric and therefore an hypocaloric diet is really not the solution.
